Chapter 1 - The Banquet Insult

The luxurious banquet room was a masterclass in high-society opulence, illuminated by dazzling crystal chandeliers, flickering warm candlelight, and decorated with pristine white rose floral arrangements resting on tables covered in immaculate white linens. Surrounding the tables were elite guests in formal evening wear, whispering politely as they enjoyed an exclusive dinner party.

At the center of it all sat Claire, a stunning woman in her thirties with wavy blonde hair, wearing a striking red evening gown that commanded the room. Beside her sat her husband, Daniel, and across from them were her elderly parents—a humble, loving older man in a dark suit and an older woman in an elegant beige lace dress.

Seated just two seats down was Madison, Daniel’s arrogant sister, wearing a pale yellow silk dress and swirling a glass of expensive red wine.

Without any warning or provocation, Madison deliberately swung her arm wide in a theatrical, exaggerated motion. A heavy wave of dark red wine splashed directly out of her glass, flying across the table and splattering violently across Claire’s parents. The deep crimson liquid soaked completely into the mother’s beige lace dress and the father’s dark suit jacket, staining them beyond repair.

Several wealthy guests in the background immediately burst into loud, mocking laughter, finding the cruel "accident" immensely entertaining.

Madison didn't apologize. She didn't look horrified. Instead, she leaned back in her chair, wearing a vicious, smug smirk.
