Chapter 6 - THE SIX A.M. ORDER

The hospital locked my chart.

Independent physicians took over.

My room moved to a protected maternal floor.

No Collins staff.

No Cross affiliates.

No private security chosen by James.

At 5:47 a.m., three transport employees arrived anyway.

They wore legitimate Northfield uniforms.

They carried a court order.

The order looked real.

Judge signature.

Case number.

Emergency psychiatric transfer.

Claire checked the docket.

No case existed.

Forgery.

The transport team had been told I was violent.

They looked at me through the doorway.

Pregnant.

Connected to monitors.

Police present.

One driver quietly said:

“This doesn’t match the briefing.”

He put down the restraint bag.

That decision mattered.

The other two insisted on completing the transfer.

Hayes arrested them when they tried to enter.

Later, investigators learned they were paid by a shell company tied to Marlene.

The first driver cooperated.

He described dozens of BLUEBIRD pickups.

Women crying.

Families signing.

Doctors waiting.

No independent evaluation.

He had assumed the paperwork made it legal.

The case expanded into human trafficking through medical guardianship.

Then my independent obstetrician reviewed the pregnancy.

The baby did not need induction.

Healthy growth.

Normal placenta.

No emergency.

Cross had falsified measurements.

The plan required birth on a predictable timeline.

If I had complied, the baby would have been born under controlled staffing.

Cord blood taken.

Biometric chip inserted.

I sedated.

James positioned as guardian.

The mall changed everything because I reached a hospital outside the planned schedule before the forged induction.

Then Laura went into labor naturally.

Too early.

Thirty-five weeks.

Her protected hospital prepared for delivery.

Claire feared the network would try again.

They did.

A nurse entered with a mislabeled medication tray.

Independent pharmacy verification caught it.

The syringe contained a sedative not ordered for Laura.

Camera footage showed the tray had been swapped in an elevator.

The person responsible:

Marlene’s personal assistant.

Arrested.

Laura delivered a baby girl safely.

She named her Grace.

DNA confirmed Henry as biological father.

Laura held her.

Then cried.

“I don’t know what she is to me legally.”

The social worker answered:

“She is a newborn who needs care. Law can follow.”

That became the principle.

Care first.

Claims later.

Then my contractions started.

Stress.

Not full labor.

Doctors stabilized me.

My baby stayed inside.

James’s deadline passed.

The trust’s automatic heir enrollment failed.

At 6:01, Collins Development voting shares froze.

No child had been registered.

No guardian controlled them.

The company entered temporary independent administration.

James lost access overnight.

Marlene screamed in jail when informed.

Then the financial administrator discovered something Henry never revealed.

If no heir was enrolled before the deadline, the trust dissolved to employee ownership.

The entire Collins empire would leave the family.

James had abused me to preserve wealth he could now never inherit.

Then a final message arrived from Cross.

May you like

He wanted immunity.

In exchange, he would reveal where BLUEBIRD kept the women who never came home.
