Loretta’s signature mattered more than my microphone.
The internet would later love the dramatic clip.
The real legal action happened quietly in the estate library.
Two trustees.
Two signatures.
Clear procedure.
No spectacle.
The family trust owned more than the apartment.
Commercial property.
Investment accounts.
A thirty-percent stake in Miller Development Group.
Austin held future beneficial rights.
Not present control.
Not present ownership.
Not authority to pledge anything.
Then Maya showed us a text from Brittany to Gordon.
Austin doesn’t understand how much leverage this gives us.
Gordon replied:
Good. Keep it that way until after the ceremony.
Austin read it twice.
The wedding had not only been leverage against me.
He was leverage too.
Then Loretta asked the question I had not.
“Why would Gordon need our trust?”
Maya answered after reviewing Blake Capital’s public debt filings.
“Because his firm may be in trouble.”
That turned family fraud into corporate motive.
What made Chapter 4 harder than the one before was not another dramatic reveal. It was accumulation.

Who knew what, and when.

Documents forced us smaller.
More precise.
And precision made the truth stronger.
