After the incident, Richard demanded:

Then an attorney.
He said James was:
“alienating” him.
That word usually belongs to custody disputes.
Grandparents do not automatically hold parental rights equal to:
parents.
State law can allow grandparents to seek visitation under certain circumstances depending on:

prior relationship,
best interests,
constitutional protections for parental decision-making.
Richard’s attorney explained that:

Probably.
He still threatened:
“I’ll take this to court.”
I said:
“Do it through lawyers.”
He did not obtain emergency access.
A temporary protective order restricted:
contact
while the criminal and child-welfare matters were reviewed.
School received documentation.
Richard removed from:
pickup list.
Megan and I agreed:
no contact
without professional recommendation and legal clearance.
That was significant.
We had argued about many things after divorce.
Not this.
She said:
“I should’ve asked Eli more too.”
Why?
Richard had told her I was:
soft.
She occasionally believed:
him.
