Michael’s trial lasted seven weeks.

Not for shock.
For pattern.
Michael coaching Tyler.
Michael preparing false statements.
Michael discussing insurance.
Michael provoking Daniel.
Michael teaching a teenager how to make violence look accidental.
The defense argued Tyler created the videos for attention.
A forensic expert proved otherwise.
Metadata showed many recordings came directly from Michael’s phone before being transferred to Tyler’s device.
Voice analysis confirmed Michael’s speech.
Document experts confirmed he forged Daniel’s signature.
Insurance agents testified that Michael described Emily as accident-prone.
Teachers testified she was careful.
Doctors testified her injuries over the previous year were inconsistent with simple clumsiness.
Mason testified through a recorded child interview.
He described the barbecue.
The phone.
The passcode.
The hidden videos.
Michael’s attorney suggested Mason misunderstood adult conversations.
Mason replied:
“Adults say that when children hear the truth.”
The recording stopped.
No one in the courtroom moved.
Daniel testified about the punch.
He admitted it.
The defense tried to portray him as violent.
Daniel did not resist the label completely.
“I lost control for one second.”
“So Michael was right about you?”
“No. He was right that he could provoke me.”
“Isn’t that dangerous?”
“Yes.”
“Should you have custody?”
Daniel looked toward Emily.
“Custody should belong to the parent who takes responsibility and changes behavior, not the adult who plans harm and calls it protection.”
Dr. Elaine Parker, the hand surgeon, described Emily’s injuries.
Three fractured fingers.
Tendon damage.
Possible lifelong stiffness.
The defense objected to photographs.
The judge admitted only medical images.
Emily chose to testify.
She was twelve by then.
Her hand had healed enough to write slowly.
She entered the courtroom without looking at Michael.
The prosecutor asked what happened.
Emily told the truth.
No dramatic language.
No exaggeration.
Tyler slammed the hatch.
Michael handed Daniel a false statement.
Sarah ran to Tyler.
Mason found the phone.
Then the prosecutor asked:
“How did the family respond when you said you were hurt?”
Emily looked at the jury.
