Chapter 7 - The Severed Evidence

Nadia hesitated for only a fraction of a second. She thought of Mila. She thought of Juny. She thought of her mother.

Nadia slowly untied the silk scarf and let it drop to the floor.

The crowd of elite guests gasped collectively.

Her beautiful chestnut hair was completely butchered. Jagged, uneven chunks stood out brutally against her white uniform, an undeniable, physical manifestation of sheer, unhinged cruelty.

"She brought Nadia into the greenhouse three days ago," Dragan explained to the horrified crowd, his voice vibrating with demonic fury. "She held her hostage by threatening to cancel the medical funding keeping her deaf teenage sister connected to the world. And then she hacked her hair off with gardening shears simply because she wanted her to feel small."

The cinematic realism of the absolute evil standing on the stage paralyzed Theodore.

He didn't just feel betrayed; he felt physically sick. He looked at Nadia, the quiet, hardworking girl he had known for seven years, and realized he had allowed a monster to torture her under his own roof.

"Theodore, please!" Clarissa sobbed frantically, dropping to her knees on the stage, completely abandoning her empowering, feminist facade. "She attacked me in the greenhouse! I had to defend myself!"

"Stop talking," Theodore whispered, his voice cracking with profound, overwhelming disgust.

He didn't yell. A quick outburst was far too generous. He looked at Dragan.

"Did you call them?" Theodore asked softly.

"They are waiting in the driveway," Dragan replied.

👉 The heavy doors swung open again, and Clarissa’s public humiliation was about to become complete.
