Federal prosecutors charged Warren with weapons trafficking, procurement fraud, conspiracy, bribery, kidnapping, and obstruction.
Marcus faced kidnapping, assault, witness intimidation, and trafficking charges.
Peter Sloan cooperated.
Hayes testified about his unauthorized channel and accepted formal discipline.

The defense began with the barbecue.
“You kicked Marcus Caldwell.”
“Yes.”
“You are highly trained.”
“Yes.”
“You could have walked away.”
“He had my shirt in his hand and my daughter behind me.”
“You wanted to humiliate him.”
“No.”
“You dropped the gloves on his chest.”
“Yes.”
“That was humiliation.”
“That was a message to stop.”
The attorney smiled.
“So you communicate through force.”
Sarah looked toward the jury.
“One controlled strike ended an assault. Everything after was evidence.”
The video played.
Marcus’s threat.
The grab.
The shove.
The kick.
Sarah stopping.
No pursuit.
No beating.
No revenge.
Then the military SUV.
The salute.
The attorney tried to make rank the center.
Sarah refused.
“The officer’s salute did not make Marcus wrong. His actions did.”
Warren took the stand.
He called himself a patriot.
A builder.
A man who supported veterans.
The prosecutor displayed weapon routes hidden inside veteran programs.
Warren said he never knew.
Then Daniel’s video played.
Warren accepting the red folder.
Marcus watching.
Peter Sloan testified that Warren ordered Daniel’s vehicle tampered with.
Not to kill him, Warren claimed.
To frighten him.
The brakes failed.
Intent became consequence.
The jury convicted both men.
Warren received life under combined federal and state sentences.
Marcus received thirty-four years.
