Chapter 5 - The Financial Guillotine

"Dante, please!" Victoria wailed hysterically, dropping to her knees on the hardwood floor, completely abandoning her high-society elegance. "He’s my brother! The Russians were going to kill him! I only took the bonds to save his life! I was going to pay you back!"
"You allowed a degenerate to strike an innocent woman in my house," Dante replied quietly, entirely immune to her fake tears. "And you paid him for it."
Dante didn't pull a weapon. A quick bullet in the ballroom was far too generous for a monster who preyed on the loyal.
He pulled his encrypted smartphone from his black suit jacket. He dialed his Chief of Security, putting the call on speaker so Victoria could hear her absolute destruction.
"Find Marcus," Dante ordered coldly.
"We already have him, Boss," the rough voice of his enforcer replied through the speaker. "He tried to cash the bonds at the offshore bank ten minutes ago. We intercepted him in the lobby."
Victoria let out a horrific, guttural wail of pure agony, realizing her brother’s escape was a complete failure.
"Good," Dante continued smoothly. "Take the bonds back. Then, strip Marcus of everything he owns. Liquidate his house, his cars, and his offshore accounts. Transfer the funds directly into my holding company."
"No! Dante, you'll ruin him!" Victoria shrieked, crawling across the floor toward his polished shoes.

"And when you're done," Dante added ruthlessly, completely ignoring her, "hand him over to the Russian syndicate. Tell them Marcus tried to pay his debt with stolen money. Let the wolves handle the thief."
👉 Victoria was completely broken, leaving Dante to issue the final, devastating command of her life.
