Chapter 6 - SARAH CARTER’S DEATH

Sarah’s crash was reconstructed.

Her vehicle drifted across the center line on a clear morning.

No mechanical failure.

No skid marks.

Toxicology showed sedatives.

Michael said she self-medicated.

The prescription source had been unclear because pills were transferred through a clinic sample account.

That account belonged to Michael.

A former nurse remembered Sarah confronting him in the parking lot.

“You are experimenting on children.”

Michael told her to lower her voice.

The nurse never reported it.

She believed it was a marriage argument.

Now she testified.

Sarah’s phone records also showed Michael calling seventeen times the morning of the crash.

The final voicemail was deleted from the phone but recovered from cloud storage.

“If you tell the board, you lose the girls.”

Sarah called her friend immediately afterward.

Then drove toward the medical-board office.

She never arrived.

Prosecutors could not prove Michael physically caused the crash.

They could prove he supplied the sedative without her knowledge, threatened her, and concealed evidence afterward.

Her death became manslaughter, poisoning, obstruction, and coercive control.
