Chapter 4 - The Silicone Lie

Sarah parked her rusted sedan two blocks away from the sprawling luxury estate.

She still had her old set of keys, and she knew the security cameras in the back garden had a blind spot near the patio doors. Moving with absolute, quiet precision, Sarah slipped through the garden, unlocked the side door, and stepped into the massive, echoing mansion she used to call home.

She crept silently up the grand marble staircase and slipped into Michael’s mahogany-paneled home office.

She knew the code to his secondary desk drawer—his birth year and hers. She punched in the numbers. The drawer clicked open.

Inside sat a thick manila folder labeled CONFIDENTIAL.

Sarah pulled it out and opened it. Her jaw dropped in absolute, cinematic shock.

It wasn't a receipt for the illegal pills. It was Chloe’s private medical records from an exclusive Beverly Hills fertility clinic. Sarah read the bold, highlighted text on the first page.

Chloe was completely, irreversibly infertile.

There was no miracle pregnancy. Chloe was faking the entire thing to secure the billionaire inheritance for herself and Michael. Attached to the medical file was a massive $50,000 receipt from a Hollywood special effects studio for a custom, medical-grade silicone pregnancy prosthetic.

Michael had tried to murder his own actual children so he could fake a pregnancy with a gold-digger.

Suddenly, the heavy front doors of the mansion downstairs slammed open.

"I don't care what the board says, Michael! We need that money now!" Chloe's shrill, arrogant voice echoed up the grand staircase.
