Chapter 7 - The Digital Treason

Dante held the burner phone up to the light of the crystal chandelier.

He pressed the power button. The screen illuminated immediately, completely unprotected by a passcode. The mafia boss began to scroll. His natural breathing ceased. His jaw locked so tightly the muscles visibly ticked beneath his skin.

"What is this?" Dante whispered.

"It's an active text log," Anna explained, her voice ringing with the absolute truth. "She's been using it for the past three months. She's been sending the exact GPS coordinates of your overseas shipping containers to the feds, and selling the schedules of your capos to the rival cartel."

Isabella stumbled backward, her designer heels clicking frantically against the marble. "Dante, she's lying! She planted that! She's trying to frame me because she's jealous of our relationship!"

"The latest message was sent twenty minutes ago," Dante read aloud, his voice dropping into a dark, demonic register. "'The boss is out until midnight. I'm removing the widow and the kid so there are no witnesses when your men breach the estate.'"

The entire foyer went dead silent.

Isabella wasn't just a political alliance. She was a deeply embedded rat. She had orchestrated a hit on Dante’s own home, and she was violently throwing Anna and Sophie out into the cold so the assassins wouldn't leave any loose ends.

👉 Isabella realized her entire life was over, and the cornered rat was about to make a desperate run for the door.
