Alive.
Hypothermic.
A gunshot wound through her shoulder.
She had helped Ethan escape after secretly copying patient files for months.
Anne once worked at a legitimate children’s hospital.
After a malpractice accusation ended her career, Hollow Creek recruited her.
They offered money and legal protection.
At first, she believed the facility handled confidential domestic-violence relocations.
Then she realized children were being assigned false diagnoses and identities.
She stayed.
Fear.
Money.
Shame.
Then a girl named Ava disappeared from the center after asking for her mother.
Staff said she was transferred.
Anne found blood in the transport van.
That broke the story she told herself.
She began copying records.
