Chapter 9 - The Blizzard's Embrace

Richard looked at the two pathetic creatures writhing on his floor with absolute, freezing disgust. They weren't family. They were parasites who had tortured an innocent child and murdered a good woman for greed.
"You threw my grandson out into the snow," Richard said, his voice dropping into a register so dark it made the bodyguards shiver. "You told me it was a small punishment."
Mark looked up, his eyes wide with sheer terror, finally understanding the catastrophic mistake he had made. "Dad... please... I'm your son! I'm your blood!"
"My blood is sitting by the fire," Richard replied coldly. "You are nothing but a mistake I am about to correct."
Richard gestured to the open terrace doors, where the violent Colorado blizzard was howling, whipping freezing wind and snow into the entrance hall.
"Strip them of their coats," Richard commanded his men. "Take their shoes. Take their jewelry, their phones, and their wallets. You leave them with exactly what they left my grandson with."
"No! No, Richard, you can't! We'll freeze to death!" Claudia wailed, fighting hysterically as the guards violently ripped her expensive winter dress and tore the jewelry from her neck.
The guards dragged Mark and Claudia, kicking and screaming, toward the open terrace doors.

"You have a ten-minute head start before I release the hunting dogs," Richard stated, his face an emotionless mask of stone. "If you survive the mountain, you never show your faces in my city again. If you don't... the snow will bury your sins."
👉 The heavy glass doors were slammed shut, leaving the villains to face the wrath of the frozen wilderness.
