Chapter 8 - The Underboss Falls

Marcus’s hand barely grazed the handle of his gun.
Dominic’s heavily tattooed hand shot out like a striking viper, clamping directly onto Marcus’s wrist. With a sickening, violent motion, Dominic twisted the underboss's arm backward until the bone audibly snapped.
Marcus let out a muffled, agonizing shriek as his weapon clattered uselessly onto the polished marble floor.
Dominic didn't stop. He slammed his forearm directly into Marcus's throat, violently pinning the traitor against the grand sweeping staircase.
"You threw my wife off a balcony," Dominic whispered directly into Marcus’s ear, completely deaf to the man's pathetic, choking apologies. "And you watched me cry at her funeral."
"The... the cartel paid me!" Marcus gasped, his face turning a deep, ugly shade of purple under the mafia boss’s crushing grip. "They promised me the city!"
"You don't get the city," Dominic replied with freezing, absolute contempt.
Dominic violently threw the suffocating traitor onto the hard marble floor. He didn't shoot him. A quick bullet was far too merciful.
He signaled to his elite, loyal security guards.
"Take him to the old warehouse," Dominic commanded coldly. "Drain his offshore accounts. Liquidate his assets. Then break every single bone in his body before you burn the building to the ground."
