Chapter 2 - The End of Grace

The cinematic realism of the suffocating, paralyzing tension gripped the luxurious living room.
Trevor took a heavy, aggressive step forward. A tight close-up captured his face—breathing heavily, his jaw clenched tight, glaring down at the elderly woman with pure, unfiltered rage. He fully expected Gloria to burst into hysterical tears, apologize profusely, and beg for his forgiveness, exactly as she had done for the past five years to keep the peace.
But Gloria didn't cry.
A close-up captured the sixty-eight-year-old matriarch slowly raising her trembling hand. She gently wiped the fresh blood from her split lip, staring at the crimson stain on her manicured fingers.
The devastated, heartbroken mother looking at her abusive son completely evaporated.
In her place, a cold, titanium, and absolutely terrifyingly resolute businesswoman awakened. Gloria looked up at Trevor, her natural micro-expressions shifting from shock to a chilling, lethal clarity.
"You're right, Trevor," Gloria said quietly. Her voice was remarkably steady, completely devoid of any fear or submission. "I don't dictate what you do with your money."
She slowly pushed herself up from the dark wood table, standing tall in her blue blazer. She looked dead into his eyes, projecting the absolute authority of a true matriarch.
"But you aren't the master of this house," Gloria whispered softly. "Not anymore."
Trevor scoffed, rolling his eyes as Kristen let out a small, mocking laugh from the white sofa.

"Oh, please," Trevor sneered, adjusting his tailored suit. "Go to your room, mother. I'll have the maid bring you an ice pack before my dinner guests arrive."
👉 Gloria turned her back on her son, preparing to execute a legal maneuver that would leave him completely homeless by sunset.
