Chapter 4 - The Betrayal Unveiled

"Shut up, Grace!" Isabella shrieked wildly, completely abandoning her elegant, high-society persona.
Driven by pure, toxic panic, Isabella lunged across the mahogany desk, her hands violently reaching for the black phone, desperately trying to rip the cord out of the wall and delete the message.
But Vincent moved with blinding, effortless violence.
His large, tattooed hand shot across the desk, grabbing Isabella by the wrist with bone-crushing force. He didn't let her touch the phone. He stared dead into her eyes, the terrifying apex predator completely unleashed.
"If you move another muscle, I will break your arm," Vincent commanded coldly.
Isabella whimpered, instantly freezing in place.
Vincent turned his intense, dark eyes back to the weeping maid by the door.
"Tell me right now," Vincent whispered softly, though the threat in his tone was apocalyptic. "Or I swear on my life, you will never walk out of this mansion."
"She made me do it!" Grace wailed hysterically, dropping to her knees on the polished hardwood floor, tears completely ruining her uniform. "Isabella paid me fifty thousand dollars! She told me to spike Clara's tea the night she disappeared! We didn't kill her, Mr. Vincent! I swear we didn't kill her! Isabella just paid some men to take her away so she could marry you!"
Emily gasped, clutching her pink dress as she hid behind her father's massive leather chair.
