Chapter 7 - THE TRIAL OF THE FAMILY THAT ENGINEERED CHILDREN

The criminal cases lasted two years.

David faced attempted murder conspiracy, child assault complicity, reproductive fraud, forgery, coercive control, and obstruction.

Chloe pleaded guilty to assault, conspiracy, fraud, and attempted inheritance manipulation.

Her cooperation reduced sentence, but not responsibility.

Martha faced kidnapping, unlawful confinement, attempted murder, guardianship fraud, and racketeering.

Andrew faced conspiracy, extortion, false identity, financial crimes, and directing the Mirror Program.

Owen faced attempted murder, kidnapping assistance, and evidence destruction.

Dr. Cross faced life charges from decades of false deaths, embryo manipulation, and psychiatric imprisonment.

Arthur was not criminally charged for Eleanor’s confinement because evidence showed he believed the transfer was witness protection.

But he admitted signing payments without oversight and concealing family records afterward.

He resigned from Sterling leadership.

No heroic billionaire ending.

Accountability required losing control.

The trial opened with the gala footage.

Chloe slapping Lily.

David throwing divorce papers.

My call.

Then the rooftop attack.

The Mirror Room.

The false death certificate.

The prerecorded cardiac event.

The child trust.

The public upload.

Lily did not testify live.

Her recorded child interview entered under protective rules.

She said:

“The lady hit me because she wanted me gone.”

Simple.

Accurate.

The defense tried to call it misunderstanding.

The blood on the marble answered.

Chloe testified.

She admitted the assault was planned to make me react violently.

Martha wanted footage of an unstable mother.

But I struck Martha, not Chloe.

The scene became less useful.

Then Chloe admitted she believed Lily would remain safe.

The prosecutor asked:

“Safe from what?”

“From the trust fight.”

“You struck her.”

“I know.”

“You called her worthless.”

“I know.”

“What did you think worth meant?”

Chloe looked down.

“Whether the family needed her.”

That line defined the entire system.

David testified.

He blamed infertility.

Martha.

Andrew.

Family pressure.

The trust.

Then Priya showed messages where he discussed Lily’s death certificate.

No one forced him to type:

IF LILY DIES, THE CLAUSE RESETS.

He received forty years.

Martha received life.

Andrew received thirty-eight years.

Owen received twenty-five.

Cross received life without parole.

Chloe received twelve.

Then the civil court dismantled the Dynasty Trust.

No child would inherit controlling power through bloodline conditions.

Sterling and Thorne holdings transferred to employee and public-benefit trusts.

Lily retained a protected personal trust for education and medical needs.

Nothing more.

No dynasty placed on her shoulders.

Eleanor supported it.

Arthur supported it.

I signed last.

May you like

Not because I wanted nothing for Lily.

Because I wanted her future to be hers, not a family machine.
