Chapter 3 - The Billionaire's Possession

Adrian stared at the ultrasound of his unborn daughter. The shock on his handsome face rapidly morphed into a dark, terrifying possessiveness.

He was a billionaire who controlled shipping empires; he didn't lose his property, and he certainly didn't let his own bloodline walk out the front door.

"Put the boxes down," Adrian barked, turning his head to glare at the two movers in blue uniforms. "Nobody is leaving this house."

The movers froze, looking nervously at Evelyn.

"Keep packing," Evelyn instructed the men, her voice steady and resolute. She turned her fierce, unwavering gaze back to her husband. "You don't get to issue orders to me anymore, Adrian. I signed the divorce papers. The courier delivered them to your legal team this morning."

"I don't give a damn about the papers!" Adrian roared, closing the distance between them. He stopped just inches from her baby bump, his hands trembling with a sudden, overwhelming urge to touch it. "You hid my child from me for eight months! You let me believe you were useless!"

"You let yourself believe the lies of your mistress," Evelyn shot back, slapping his hand away before it could graze her dress. "You wanted a son with Chloe. You threw me away like garbage. I am simply taking out the trash."

Adrian scoffed, running a hand through his dark hair, his arrogant ego desperately trying to regain control of the room.

"This changes everything, Evelyn," Adrian declared smoothly, forcing his signature intimidating smirk. "Chloe is giving me my heir, but you are still my wife. You will stay in the east wing. I will provide for my daughter. I am not letting you take my child to some pathetic leased apartment."

Evelyn didn't cry. She didn't scream. A cold, cinematic smile touched her lips.
