Chapter 4 - The Wi-Fi Confession

"You stupid, crazy old bat!" Richard roared, his face twisted into a mask of pure, demonic rage. "Do you have any idea what you just did?! That drive is worth three hundred million dollars! I'm going to have you thrown in federal prison for the rest of your miserable life!"

Margaret didn't flinch. She didn't cower against the window.

She calmly picked up her knitting needles from her lap and looked the towering billionaire dead in the eye.

"I didn't just destroy the drive, Richard," Margaret whispered, ensuring only he could hear the absolute doom in her voice.

Richard froze, his chest heaving. "How do you know my name?"

"My name is Margaret Hayes," she replied coldly. "My husband was Arthur Hayes. The machinist whose pension you stole."

Richard’s eyes widened in profound, horrifying realization. He was trapped in the sky with the widow of his victim.

"You think drowning that piece of metal was my revenge?" Margaret smiled, a slow, terrifying expression. She tapped the glowing screen of her small tablet resting on her tray table. "Before I dropped your drive into my coffee, I plugged it into my tablet. I paid fifteen dollars for the in-flight Wi-Fi, Richard. It was a bit slow, but it got the job done."

Richard stopped breathing. The cinematic realism of his absolute panic paralyzed his muscles.

"What did you do?" Richard choked out, his voice cracking.
