Chapter 4 - The Grandfather's Trust

The cinematic realism of the terrifying, suffocating tension completely paralyzed the grand lobby outside the auditorium.

The graduation ceremony had just concluded. Families were taking joyful photographs and handing out bouquets of flowers. But in a quiet, isolated corner of the marble lobby, Jack aggressively cornered his daughter.

Abigail and Blake flanked him, their faces twisted with pure, unfiltered rage.

"What the hell was that speech?!" Jack roared aggressively, completely abandoning his sophisticated corporate persona. "You embarrassed us in front of the entire family! You sounded like a delusional, dramatic little brat!"

Olga stood perfectly still in her black graduation gown. She didn't cower. She didn't cry.

"I sounded like a woman who finally found her grandfather's money," Olga whispered coldly.

Jack physically staggered backward, his navy suit wrinkling as his knees nearly buckled. The arrogant superiority completely evaporated from his eyes, instantly replaced by sheer, unadulterated terror.

To understand the absolute, bone-chilling magnitude of Olga's statement, one had to look at a highly classified family secret. When Olga was eighteen, her wealthy grandfather had tragically passed away. He had despised Jack's greed and explicitly left a massive, five-million-dollar trust fund entirely to Olga. But Jack, wielding his power as her legal guardian at the time, had maliciously forged the documents, telling Olga that her grandfather had died bankrupt.

"I don't know what you're talking about," Jack choked out, sweat actively pouring down his forehead. "Your grandfather didn't have any money!"

"You're lying," Olga stated clinically.
