Chapter 6 - The Broken Monster

Across the city, in his sprawling luxury estate, Richard was having a violent meltdown.

He threw his laptop across the home office, shattering it against the wall. His phone was ringing off the hook with alerts from international banks notifying him of frozen assets and zero balances.

"Where is it?!" Richard shrieked hysterically, tearing through his desk drawers.

Sophia stood terrified in the doorway, wearing a simple white dress, shielding little Nathan behind her legs.

"Richard, what's happening?" Sophia asked, her voice trembling.

"Shut up!" Richard roared, pulling a heavy black pistol from his desk. "Someone hacked me! We have to leave right now! Get the kid in the car!"

But before Richard could even step out from behind the desk, the heavy mahogany front doors of the estate burst open with a deafening crash.

Dozens of elite, heavily armed private security contractors—men who answered only to Xavier—flooded into the mansion, their weapons drawn.

Richard froze, raising his pistol toward the hallway.

"Drop it, Richard."

The deep, booming voice echoed through the house, instantly paralyzing the abusive monster.

Xavier walked slowly into the home office. He moved with the terrifying, lethal grace of an apex predator. His black suit blended perfectly with the shadows of the room. He didn't have his gun drawn. He didn't need to.

"Xavier," Richard gasped, all the color violently draining from his face. He looked at the armed men surrounding his office. "You... you took my money."
