Chapter 1 - The Yellow Raincoat

The cozy, upscale Italian restaurant was a cinematic display of warm, intimate lighting. Rain pounded heavily against the massive glass windows, blurring the city lights outside. Inside, sitting alone at a secluded table with a classic red checkered tablecloth, was Vincent.
He was a fifty-something billionaire with distinguished graying hair, wearing a perfectly tailored dark suit and a crisp white shirt. He held an expensive leather wallet in his hands, pulling out his black card to pay for a dinner he hadn't eaten. He was waiting for a highly anticipated blind date, and she was already forty-five minutes late.
Suddenly, a tiny, hesitant tug on his jacket sleeve broke his intense focus.
Vincent looked down. Standing right beside his table was a six-year-old girl. She had messy dark curls and wore a bright yellow raincoat dripping wet from the storm outside. She was hugging a worn, faded stuffed rabbit tightly against her chest.
"Are you the man waiting for my mommy?" the little girl asked, her sweet voice barely a whisper over the ambient noise of the restaurant.
A tight close-up captured Vincent slowly lowering his leather wallet, profound confusion washing over his sharp features.
"Who is your mommy?" Vincent asked softly, his deep voice carrying a gentle, reassuring tone.
The little girl squeezed her stuffed rabbit, her dark eyes wide with a mixture of innocence and intense, breathless fear.
"Clare," the little girl answered. "She's outside."
Vincent frowned, looking toward the dark, rainy window. "Why didn't she come in?"
A close-up captured the little girl looking up at the towering billionaire. She wasn't smiling. She looked incredibly brave, but utterly terrified.

"Because I'm braver than she is," the little girl stated quietly.
👉 Vincent stood up from the table, entirely unaware that the little girl had just pulled him into a massive, deadly conspiracy.
