Chapter 5 - The Stolen Phone

The cinematic realism of the brutal, chaotic violence completely electrified the stormy night.
Vincent moved with the crushing, undeniable authority of a true apex predator. He systematically, brutally dismantled all four heavily armed men, leaving them groaning and bleeding on the wet concrete. He didn't even break a sweat. He stood over the lead thug, his white shirt completely soaked in rain, radiating absolute, terrifying power.
Vincent reached down and aggressively ripped Clare's stolen purse from the thug's tactical jacket.
He tossed the purse gently back to Clare, then reached into the thug's other pocket, pulling out the man's encrypted cell phone. It was completely unlocked, actively displaying a text message thread with Marcus.
Marcus: Is the job done? Did you teach her a lesson?
Vincent didn't type a response. He hit the call button, putting the phone on speaker.
The corrupt politician answered on the first ring. "Tell me you broke her jaw," Marcus sneered aggressively through the speaker. "I want her completely humiliated."
"She's perfectly fine, Marcus," Vincent replied smoothly, his voice completely devoid of human mercy.
A heavy, terrifying silence hung on the line. Marcus instantly recognized the deep, authoritative voice of the billionaire his men were supposed to intimidate.
"Vincent?" Marcus choked out, profound panic actively destroying his arrogant confidence. "Where are my men?"

"They're bleeding on the pavement," Vincent stated flawlessly. "And you have exactly ten minutes to leave the country before I completely dismantle your entire pathetic life."
👉 Marcus let out a harsh, desperate laugh, entirely unaware of the apocalyptic financial trap closing around him.
