Chapter 8 - The White Lace Arrest

A dozen heavily armed federal agents and local police officers swarmed into the beautiful sunlit chapel. Ethan’s head of security had contacted the FBI the second Nora showed him the kitchen video that morning, coordinating the ultimate trap.

Ethan calmly handed the lead detective the black burner phone, the hidden glass vial of poison, and Nora's smartphone containing the undeniable video evidence.

"Vanessa Sterling and Marcus Thorne," the detective announced, reading the horrific evidence on the screens. "You are under arrest for conspiracy to commit first-degree murder, massive wire fraud, and grand larceny."

"Don't touch me!" Vanessa wailed hysterically as two female officers forcefully hauled her to her feet.

They didn't let her change out of her elegant wedding gown. They violently slapped heavy steel handcuffs over her wrists, completely snagging the delicate white lace.

The officers dragged the screaming, thrashing bride directly down the center aisle. She was forced to do the ultimate walk of shame, paraded in handcuffs past every single elite, wealthy guest she had planned to fool.

Because the media had been tipped off by the police presence, news cameras flashed wildly outside the chapel doors. They captured the arrogant, cruel fake bride being shoved into the back of a police cruiser, weeping like a pathetic criminal.

Her high-society reputation, her freedom, and her toxic life were permanently, entirely swallowed into violent ruin.
