Chapter 2 - The Groom's Fury

A tight medium close-up captured Alessandro stepping aggressively closer to Clara. He towered over her, his broad shoulders completely blocking the golden light of the chandeliers.
He didn't look at the manila folder. He didn't reach for the financial records. He locked his dark, lethal eyes directly onto the trembling analyst.
To understand the absolute, unhinged fury radiating from the mafia boss, one had to look at the massive, highly publicized event taking place just behind the double doors. In less than twenty minutes, Alessandro was scheduled to marry Victoria, a high-society heiress. The wedding was a strategic, multi-billion-dollar merger designed to completely legitimize the Moretti family empire.
And Clara, a mid-level analyst from his legitimate accounting firm, had just sprinted into the VIP corridor to accuse his bride of massive theft.
"You are accusing my future wife," Alessandro stated, his voice a freezing, ice-cold frequency that cut through the silence like a razor blade. "In the middle of my wedding."
Clara physically staggered backward, her hands shaking so violently she almost dropped the folder. "Mr. Moretti, please! I found the hidden sub-ledgers an hour ago! If you marry her, she gets legal access to the master trust! You have to look at the routing numbers!"
Alessandro didn't look. He was an apex predator who despised public disrespect, and he believed Clara was either having a psychotic break or trying to sabotage the merger for a rival syndicate.
He completely ignored the desperate truth right in front of him.
A medium shot captured Alessandro aggressively pointing his tailored arm toward the heavy service exit at the end of the corridor.
