Chapter 10 - The New Beginning

Six months later, Owen and Natalie's father were officially sentenced to fifteen years in a maximum-security federal penitentiary for massive corporate embezzlement, wire fraud, and conspiracy. Without Owen's financial protection, Natalie's mother and sister were completely bankrupted. They were violently evicted from their luxury estate and forced to work minimum-wage retail jobs, entirely alienated from the high-society world that had completely forgotten their names.

Natalie’s life completely transformed.

She immediately filed for a ruthless, uncontested divorce, maintaining absolute, total legal control over her multi-million-dollar private trust fund.

She didn't return to the empty, toxic mansion she had shared with Owen. She purchased a beautiful, sun-drenched house on the California coast, completely surrounded by peace, fresh ocean air, and healing.

She wasn't a weeping, abandoned wife trapped in a hospital bed anymore.

She walked along the quiet beach wearing a warm, elegant sweater, the gentle ocean breeze blowing through her brown hair. She had survived the absolute worst emotional abuse and physical heartbreak imaginable, brilliantly weaponized her own intellect, and emerged completely, undeniably victorious.

She carried the profound love for her daughter in her heart every single day, completely free from the toxic parasites who had tried to destroy her.

The monsters were gone, replaced by a life built on absolute truth, undeniable courage, and perfect, unconditional freedom.

If you were Natalie, would you have allowed Owen to attend the funeral before turning him in to the FBI, or was destroying his life directly in the hospital the absolute perfect revenge?
