Chapter 4 - The Old Woman's Warning

"Get away from me!" Morgan screamed hysterically, violently thrashing on the floor as Julian aggressively lunged toward her.
She desperately tried to crawl toward the kitchen island. Her mind flashed back to the strange old woman at the pharmacy just yesterday. The elderly pharmacist had looked at the angry, blistering rash on Morgan's neck and whispered, "That isn't an allergy, honey. Put the jewelry in a glass of water. If the water turns gray, run."
Julian grabbed Morgan by her messy brunette hair, forcefully yanking her backward.
"Stop fighting it!" Julian roared aggressively, the sophisticated husband completely vanishing into a demonic, desperate monster. He pinned her against the hardwood floor, raising the small silver capsule. "It's a concentrated potassium injection! It will trigger a massive cardiac arrest, and it will be completely untraceable in the autopsy!"
Morgan wept tears of pure, unadulterated terror, violently thrashing her arms, but Julian was significantly stronger.
"I loved you!" Morgan choked out, absolutely humiliated by her own blindness.
"I love the ten million dollars!" Julian screamed back, completely losing his mind.
