Chapter 11 - Enzo Had to Own the Kick and the Garage-Door Threat
What Helena did to Leo was abusive.
That did not make everything Enzo did automatically right.
He had kicked her after Leo was already safely in his arms.
Then ordered bodyguards to physically remove her.
Finally, he repeated her own punishment back at her:
“The car’s still dirty. You don’t eat.”
He meant it as humiliation.
He did not literally control her access to food.
But later, hearing himself repeat the sentence made him uncomfortable.
His therapist asked:
“What were you trying to accomplish?”
“Make her feel what she did to him.”
“Did it help Leo?”
No.
The answer was immediate.
Enzo had protected his son by removing him from Helena.
The rest was anger.
He accepted that distinction.
He paid for Helena’s documented medical care from the impact while legal matters proceeded separately.
He did not ask that his actions be ignored because he was a father.
Protection and retaliation were not the same thing.
