Chapter 11 - The Old Financial Case Was Not the Biggest Consequence

People expected the archive records to send Bianca directly to prison.
They didn’t.
The theft happened years earlier.
There had been a signed civil settlement.
Statutes of limitation mattered.
Some conduct had already been resolved privately.
The records did, however, destroy Bianca’s version of history.
They showed she had taken the money.
They showed Natalie had protected her from harsher consequences.
They showed Bianca later spent years telling others the opposite.

Clients reconsidered whether they trusted someone who had concealed past financial misconduct while working in luxury events.
But none of that was the consequence I cared about most.
The wedding was gone.
So was the relationship.
Bianca would never live with Lila again.
