Chapter 7 - The Traitor in the House

The overwhelming, emotional realization that his niece was alive was instantly, violently interrupted by the second piece of intelligence Tony had uncovered in the file.
"There's something else, Boss, and it's bad," Tony continued, his face hardening into a mask of pure, lethal intent. "I traced the background check that our estate manager, Marcus, ran on Elena when he hired her three years ago. He didn't just run a standard criminal check. He ran her fingerprints through the rival family's private database."
Vincent’s head snapped up, his blue-gray eyes narrowing into dark, terrifying slits.
Marcus, the slick, highly-paid estate manager who controlled the domestic staff, was a deep-cover mole. He had recognized Elena three years ago. But instead of killing her immediately, Marcus had kept her trapped inside the estate as a maid, secretly feeding information back to the rival family, waiting for the perfect, most devastating moment to strike and eliminate the final remnants of the Marquetti bloodline.
And now, because of Lily's incredibly public, fearless confrontation with Vincent in the drawing room, Marcus knew that the boss had noticed the child. The mole's timeline had aggressively accelerated.
"Where are they right now?" Vincent demanded, his voice a low, terrifying rumble that promised absolute, world-ending violence.
"They're in the industrial kitchens in the basement," Tony answered quickly. "Marcus just ordered the security cameras in that sector to be taken offline for 'maintenance.'"
Vincent didn't say another word.
