Chapter 8 - The Snake Crushed

Victor was fast, but Dante was a man who had built his empire on violence.

Before Victor could even pull the gun from his holster, Dante lunged forward with explosive, blinding speed. He grabbed Victor’s right hand—the one with the snake tattoo—and violently twisted it backward.

A sickening crack echoed loudly in the freezing alley.

Victor shrieked in absolute agony, dropping to his knees as his wrist shattered. His gun clattered harmlessly onto the cold pavement.

Dante didn't stop. He grabbed Victor by the collar of his leather jacket and slammed him brutally against the side of the SUV, pinning the massive enforcer helplessly against the metal.

"You used my name to terrorize innocent women," Dante whispered, his voice vibrating with demonic rage directly into Victor’s ear. "You brought extortion into my own home. You threatened a six-year-old child."

"I'm sorry!" Victor sobbed hysterically, clutching his broken wrist. "I'll give the money back! I'll leave the city! Please, Dante, have mercy!"

"Mercy is a luxury you cannot afford," Dante replied coldly.

Dante didn't pull a weapon. He simply looked toward the dark end of the alley.
