Chapter 3 - The Broken Silence

Vincent didn't scold the little girl. He slowly turned his sharp, dangerous gaze away from Isabella and locked it entirely onto Dominic.

"Dominic?" Vincent asked. His voice was cold, low, and completely devoid of human mercy.

Dominic physically staggered backward, his professional composure completely shattering under the intense pressure of the room.

"She's a child, Vincent!" Dominic stammered defensively, pointing a shaking finger at Ellie. "She doesn't understand anything! She's just a maid's brat making up stories! You're letting grief make you paranoid!"

Vincent’s sharp jawline locked. He didn't pull a weapon. He didn't need to. The sheer, suffocating aura of violence radiating from the billionaire was enough to freeze the blood in Dominic's veins.

"Open it, Bella," Vincent commanded softly, not taking his lethal eyes off Dominic.

Isabella looked up at her towering, protective father. Her pale blue dress shook as she slowly lowered the white swan music box to her lap.

For eleven agonizing months, doctors had told Vincent his daughter might never speak again due to the severe psychological trauma of losing her mother. They said her brain had simply shut down to protect her.

But as her tiny fingers unlatched the golden clasp of the music box, Isabella looked up with tear-filled eyes.

Her lips parted.

"Daddy..." Isabella whispered.

👉 Vincent dropped to his knees at the sound of his daughter's voice, completely unprepared for the terrifying secret hidden inside the box.
