Chapter 7 - The Eviction

Roman didn't yell. The cinematic realism of his total restraint was absolutely paralyzing. He simply raised a single, heavily tattooed hand.
Four massive, heavily armed private security guards instantly stepped out from the shadows of the ballroom.
"Remove him," Roman commanded flawlessly. "And contact the CEO of Vanguard Financial. Tell them if Blake is still employed by tomorrow morning, I am personally liquidating all of my holding accounts with their firm."
"No!" Blake shrieked like a feral banshee, thrashing and kicking wildly as the massive security guards grabbed his expensive tuxedo. "You can't ruin my career over a pregnant woman!"
"I just did," Roman whispered lethally, completely turning his back on the screaming coward.
Tessa didn't try to defend Blake. The silver-gowned girlfriend looked at the man she was dating with absolute disgust, completely humiliated by his true colors. She turned on her heels and rapidly walked out the side exit, entirely abandoning him.
The guards dragged the weeping, panicking Blake right across the pristine marble floor, slipping slightly on the spilled champagne. His desperate, pathetic cries faded down the hallway, ending his reign of psychological cruelty and arrogance forever.
