Chapter 27 - the manual override
While the security team dismantled Thorne's operation on the ground, Olivia remained in the underground command room, her eyes locked onto the digital tracker of Flight 808. The rogue signal had been severed, but the plane's autopilot was still locked.
"The encryption key is corrupted," the lead flight controller panicked. "We can't restore remote access. The pilots have exactly ten minutes before the aircraft runs out of fuel and plunges into the freezing ocean."
Olivia didn't hesitate. She grabbed the secure radio microphone. She wasn't just a corporate CEO; she possessed an intimate, brilliant understanding of the aircraft's complex engineering. "Captain, this is Olivia Sterling. Listen to me very carefully."
She guided the terrified pilots through a highly classified manual override sequence. It required them to physically sever the primary data cables beneath the cockpit floorboard while flying entirely blind.
