Chapter 5 - The Corporate Ambush

The cinematic realism of the suffocating, sudden panic paralyzed the flight crew.

Caroline frantically unlocked the heavy aircraft door, swinging it open to the brightly lit jet bridge. She expected to see a federal marshal or a panicked mechanic holding a wrench.

Instead, a wall of pure, terrifying corporate authority marched directly onto her airplane.

Four massive, heavily armed corporate security contractors wearing dark tactical suits stepped onto the aircraft. They didn't look at the passengers. They aggressively secured the entrance, completely blocking anyone from leaving.

Stepping onto the plane right behind them was Mr. Vance, the fifty-year-old Regional Vice President of the entire airline. He wore a stunning, expensive gray suit, and his face was twisted into a mask of pure, apocalyptic fury.

Caroline physically staggered backward, all the color violently draining from her face.

"Mr. Vance!" Caroline choked out, her voice cracking into a high-pitched squeal. "Sir, what is going on? Is there a security threat?"

"The only security threat on this aircraft is you, Caroline," Mr. Vance boomed, his deep voice carrying flawlessly across the dead-silent first-class cabin.

Diane and Richard froze in the galley, their eyes widening in sheer, unadulterated terror. The wealthy passengers sitting in their leather seats stopped drinking their champagne, watching the massive corporate invasion with complete shock.

Mr. Vance stepped aside, revealing the person standing right behind him on the jet bridge.

It was Olivia.
