Because she attempted to leave the country after the board froze her access.
Charges included conspiracy, mail fraud, identity fraud, trust manipulation, evidence tampering, healthcare fraud, and obstruction.
Later charges connected her to illegal fertility transfers and sealed family-court abuse.
Eleanor stood in the ballroom wearing diamonds.
She asked agents to wait until after the speech.
They did not.
Cameras captured the removal.
Public fascination centered on the billionaire socialite in handcuffs.
Madeline turned off the television.
“She hit me before anyone believed me,” she said. “Now everyone wants to watch her fall.”
Arthur asked, “Does it help?”
“No.”
