Chapter 2 - The Bride's Fury

Juliette recognized the filthy, oversized beige trench coat immediately. It was the coat she had thrown into the donation bin six months ago.

Standing near the wedding altar, Juliette’s confident, radiant smile instantly disappeared. It wasn't just replaced by annoyance; it was replaced by sheer panic and furious disbelief. The color drained from her fair, rosy skin. She gripped her white satin gown, her knuckles turning white.

"Get her out of here!" Juliette shrieked furiously, pointing a trembling, manicured finger directly at the barefoot woman. "Security! Get this trash out of my wedding right now!"

Standing just behind Juliette was her father, Douglas Mercer. The 65-year-old billionaire patriarch looked sharp and distinguished in an expensive black tuxedo and white rose boutonniere. Douglas looked between his screaming daughter and the filthy vagrant in the aisle, completely confused by Juliette's sudden, violent panic.

"Juliette, calm down," Douglas whispered urgently, highly aware of the hundreds of elite guests watching them. "Security will handle it."

But the security guards at the back of the room didn't move.
