Chapter 6 - The Guest Revolt

The hundreds of elite, wealthy guests seated in the blurred background erupted into absolute, uncontainable chaos.

They had heard the screaming. They saw the beautiful, elegant bride being violently dragged away by armed security contractors in handcuffs, her white lace dress torn and covered in dirt.

"What happened?!" a billionaire investor shouted, standing up from his chair in the front row. "Is the wedding off?!"

Ethan didn't raise his voice, but he commanded the entire outdoor venue with absolute perfection. He pressed a button on the small microphone attached to his lapel, projecting his deep, authoritative voice through the massive outdoor speakers.

"The wedding is permanently cancelled," Ethan announced smoothly, his voice echoing across the luxury estate. "My fiancé was just arrested for attempting to assassinate me to steal my corporate holdings. Please enjoy the open bar and the catering on your way out."

The elite crowd gasped in unified, paralyzing shock. Sophia’s wealthy, arrogant family members tried to rush the altar, screaming and demanding answers, but Ethan’s highly trained security team immediately formed an impenetrable wall of muscle and dark suits, forcing them back.

As Sophia was dragged past her own family, weeping and begging for their help, they turned their backs on her, completely disgusted and terrified of being implicated in a massive federal murder plot.

Her pathetic, desperate cries faded into the parking lot, ending her reign of psychological cruelty and greed forever. She would spend the rest of her miserable life locked in a concrete box, completely stripped of the wealth she had tried to steal.

The grand outdoor venue slowly emptied, leaving only the beautiful white floral arches, the bright natural sunlight, and a profound, heavy silence.

Ethan sat alone at the altar in his wheelchair. He let out a long, shuddering breath. The exhausting, agonizing weight of the last six months finally lifted from his chest. He wasn't dying. He was going to live.
