Chapter 8 - The Mistress's Exit

The blonde mistress stepped down the stairs right behind Ryan, shivering in her expensive white fur shawl against the cold night wind sweeping across the tarmac.

She looked around the hangar, realizing there was no luxury car waiting for them, no romantic Parisian hotel, and most importantly, no money left to pay for any of it.

"Ryan... what is this?" the mistress demanded, her voice shrill and panicked as she dropped her Louis Vuitton luggage onto the concrete. "Who is she?! You told me you were a multimillionaire!"

"Shut up," Ryan snapped miserably, burying his face in his hands as the security guards stepped closer to escort them off the private property.

"I'm done!" the mistress shrieked, turning on her heel and marching furiously away toward the airport gates, abandoning the broke, ruined man without a single backward glance. The gold-digger had realized her investment had completely tanked, and she vanished into the night just as fast as she had arrived.

Ryan stood alone on the cold concrete, wearing his expensive dark blue suit, completely stripped of his dignity, his credit cards, his home, and his fake status.

From the top of the aircraft stairs, Claire looked down at him one last time. She didn't shout. She didn't smile. She simply looked at him with the chilling indifference one reserves for garbage on the street.

👉 Ryan was left with absolutely nothing, but Claire's final decree was about to ensure he never recovered.
