Chapter 6 - The Fiancée's Mistake

Vanessa marched halfway down the wooden stairs, gripping the handrail tightly.

"This is absolutely pathetic," Vanessa sneered, looking down at the billionaire holding the weeping maid. "You're actually crying over a peasant? I am the daughter of the Russian cartel, Dominic! I am your equal! Have your guards throw her and the brat out onto the street where they belong!"

Dominic slowly stood up, helping Sophia to her feet. He shielded the woman he loved perfectly behind his broad, tailored shoulders.

He didn't yell at Vanessa. He didn't pull a weapon.

He reached into the inner pocket of his suit and pulled out his encrypted smartphone.

"While you were busy locking innocent women in basements," Dominic stated coldly, looking up at his arrogant fiancée, "my cyber-team was actively reviewing the corporate ledgers of our engagement merger."

Vanessa physically froze. All the color violently drained from her flawless, contoured face.

"Initiate the complete liquidation of Vanessa's offshore accounts," Dominic ordered his Chief Financial Officer, putting the phone on speaker.

"No! Dominic, wait!" Vanessa shrieked, entirely abandoning her cartel-princess persona. She stumbled down a step.

"Freeze her family's corporate supply chains," Dominic continued ruthlessly, completely ignoring her panic. "Call in every single one of her father's debts in this city. I want her entirely bankrupt, destitute, and stripped of every asset she owns by the time this call ends."

"Understood, Boss," the CFO replied smoothly. "The transfer is complete. She is entirely insolvent."

👉 Vanessa thought she could run to her powerful father for help, but Dominic had already set a lethal trap.
