Chapter 7 - The Smuggler's Ring

"A smuggling ring?" Mercer stammered nervously, sweat pouring down his face despite the cold Wyoming wind. "That's impossible! My armory is perfectly secure! I personally oversee the inventory every single month!"
"We know you do," Emma interrupted, finally looking directly into the Colonel's eyes.
Her gaze was completely pitch black, devoid of any mercy.
"That's exactly how I caught you," Emma stated coldly.
The cinematic realism of the absolute, crushing betrayal paralyzed the entire range.
"You weren't just overseeing the inventory, Colonel," Emma explained, her voice ringing with titanium authority. "You were intentionally authorizing the transfer of Class-3 combat optics and serialized weapon parts to 'damaged surplus.' Then, you were having your infantry boys pack them into logistics crates bound for civilian buyers."
The soldiers of Combat Group Charlie began to panic. Several men near the back of the group instinctively took a step toward the exit, realizing their illegal side hustle had just been completely exposed.
"Don't move," Donovan commanded sharply, unholstering her sidearm and pointing it at the ground, effectively locking down the entire group.
Mercer began to hyperventilate. His arrogant, untouchable facade completely shattered into a million jagged pieces.
"You have no proof!" Mercer shrieked hysterically, pointing a shaking finger at Emma. "You're a liar! I am a decorated officer! A federal judge will laugh you out of the courtroom!"

"I don't need a courtroom, Daniel," Emma replied smoothly.
👉 Emma pulled out her phone, and the digital execution she unleashed would completely destroy Mercer’s entire bloodline.
