Chapter 7 - The Erupting Rage

Driven by pure, animalistic desperation, Victor realized his grand assassination plot had just violently unraveled.
He didn't try to explain. He didn't beg for mercy. He aggressively reached under his tailored suit jacket for his suppressed tactical pistol, fully intending to assassinate Lorenzo right there in the tiny servant's room.
He was far too slow.
Before Victor's fingers could even grip the handle of his weapon, Lorenzo moved with blinding, terrifying, surgical brutality.
The mafia boss lunged forward, grabbing Victor’s thick wrist and twisting it with bone-crushing force until a sickening snap echoed through the room. Victor shrieked in agony, dropping the pistol onto the floor.
Lorenzo didn't stop. He grabbed the massive Underboss by the throat, lifted him completely off his feet, and violently slammed him backward into the solid wall. The plaster cracked under the impact.
"You plotted against me in my own house," Lorenzo growled softly, pressing his forearm against Victor's crushed windpipe.
"Lorenzo, please!" Camilla wailed hysterically, completely abandoning her glamorous facade. She scrambled backward into the hallway, her designer heels slipping on the marble floor. "He forced me to do it! I love you! I didn't want to hurt you!"
"You love my empire," Lorenzo corrected ruthlessly, entirely immune to her fake, pathetic tears.
He didn't pull his own gun. A quick bullet was far too generous for monsters who threatened children and plotted treason in the dark.
