Chapter 4 - The Accusation

A tight close-up captured Giovanni. The retired, legendary don firmly raised his heavy silver walking stick and pointed it directly at the terrified, trembling housekeeper.
"She did," Giovanni stated clinically, entirely devoid of human mercy.
Beatrice physically stopped breathing. The warm golden lighting suddenly felt incredibly freezing. She realized she had just been completely condemned by the two most dangerous men in the city.
"Mr. Alessandro, please!" Beatrice shrieked wildly, violently waving her hands to break the heavy, terrifying silence.
The strict housekeeper completely failed to read the room. She was so blinded by her own internal authority over the estate staff that she genuinely believed she was completely justified in her physical violence.
"She broke a priceless Ming Dynasty bowl!" Beatrice panicked loudly, aggressively pointing her finger at the weeping maid on the floor. "She destroyed your property! I am the head housekeeper! I am responsible for maintaining the perfection of this estate! I was just disciplining her!"
Alessandro slowly walked toward the trembling older woman. He completely dominated the massive dining room without even raising his voice. He looked down at the screaming housekeeper with pure, unfiltered disgust.

"You think my property is worth more than the safety of the people inside my house?" Alessandro asked smoothly, completely devoid of human warmth.
👉 Beatrice scoffed desperately, completely doubling down on her toxic cruelty in a fatal mistake.
