Chapter 9 - The Federal Arrest
The heavy mahogany doors of the grand dining room violently burst open. A dozen heavily armed federal agents marched directly into the room. They completely bypassed the massive mafia boss and walked straight up to the weeping housekeeper on the floor.
"Beatrice Vance," the lead federal agent barked loudly.
Alessandro calmly tossed the encrypted smartphone directly to the federal agent. The agent caught it effortlessly, immediately turning his fierce glare back to the broken woman.
"You are under arrest for massive wire fraud, federal embezzlement, and criminal extortion," the agent announced, aggressively grabbing Beatrice by the arms.
Beatrice screamed in total, undeniable disgrace as the heavy steel handcuffs snapped loudly around her wrists. She was completely stripped of her fake wealth, her arrogant pride, and her freedom.
"Get your filthy hands off me!" Beatrice shrieked, desperately trying to fight the federal agents. "I am the head housekeeper! You can't do this to me!"

The federal agents didn't care about her stolen money or her pathetic threats. They forcefully dragged the weeping, humiliated woman backward across the white marble floor. She was forcefully dragged out of the luxury dining room and shoved into the back of a freezing police cruiser, her comfortable, high-society life permanently erased in a single evening.
