Chapter 10 - The Loyalty Rewarded

Julian immediately stepped forward, gently placing his hand on Emma’s uninjured shoulder.

"You are incredibly brave," Julian whispered, his voice thick with profound gratitude. "You saved my life tonight, Emma. If you hadn't spoken up, I would be dead."

"I couldn't let you drink it, sir," Emma sniffled, wiping her tear-stained face. "I'm just so sorry about your marriage."

"Don't be," Julian offered a genuine, warm smile. "You did me the greatest favor of my life."

Within ten minutes, Julian’s private medical team arrived at the estate. They carefully treated and bandaged Emma’s severe burns, giving her pain medication that finally allowed her to relax.

As she sat in the plush armchair in Julian’s private study, the billionaire handed her a cup of hot tea.

"I know what Vivian threatened you with," Julian said softly, sitting across from her. "I know about your sister's medical treatments."

Emma looked down, her heart sinking with fear. "Will she be kicked out of the hospital?"

"Absolutely not," Julian promised firmly. "First thing tomorrow morning, I am personally taking over all of your sister's medical debt. She will be transferred to the best private facility in the country, fully paid for by my foundation. You will never have to worry about a single bill ever again."

Emma gasped, her hands flying to her mouth as fresh tears of absolute joy poured down her face.

"Furthermore," Julian continued, "you are no longer a maid in this house. You have a full scholarship to whatever nursing school you want to attend, and until you graduate, you have a permanent, fully paid position on my corporate staff."

Emma couldn't form words. She just nodded, completely overwhelmed by the life-changing miracle.

Vivian was denied bail and sentenced to thirty years in federal prison for attempted murder and torture. Her wealthy family abandoned her entirely.

Julian made a full recovery, completely purging the toxins from his system. He completely transformed his life, filling his massive home with genuine friends and loyal staff who were treated like family. The cruel queen was gone, and the brave young woman who had suffered in the dark was finally stepping into a bright, beautiful future.

Do you think a thirty-year sentence was enough justice for what the wife did to her husband and the innocent maid?
