Chapter 1 - The Ghost in the Auditorium

The grand university auditorium was a breathtaking display of academic prestige. Bright, cinematic lighting reflected beautifully off the rich wooden paneling and the massive red banners hanging from the ceiling. The seated audience was buzzing with quiet, elegant excitement.

But in the front row, a suffocating, paralyzing tension had completely hijacked the room.

Claire, a stunning woman in her forties wearing a flawless white tweed jacket and an elegant blonde updo, sat gracefully beside her eighteen-year-old son, Noah. Noah wore a traditional black academic robe, a vibrant red stole, and a heavy gold medal resting on his chest.

Standing directly over them was a ghost.

Vincent, Claire’s husband, was a tall man in his forties. He wore a sharp black three-piece suit, but the aggressive, dark tattoos creeping up his neck and hands betrayed a violent, shady life. He expected Claire to burst into tears of joy.

Instead, a medium shot captured Claire looking up with a calm, terrifyingly confident expression. She leaned toward the aisle microphone.

"My husband died," Claire stated clearly, her voice echoing with quiet intensity across the silent room.

A tight close-up captured Vincent’s reaction. His jaw dropped slightly, and his entire body went completely, violently rigid as the absolute rejection hit him.

👉 The auditorium fell into a dead silence, completely unaware of the apocalyptic secret Claire had been hiding for eighteen years.
