Chapter 8 - The Golden Trap

Noah didn't look at the screaming man with fear. He looked at him with profound, unfiltered disgust.

The brilliant eighteen-year-old reached into his black academic robe. He didn't pull out a checkbook. He pulled out a legally notarized, heavy corporate document bearing a massive red federal seal.

"When I sold my AI patent for fifty million dollars last month," Noah explained smoothly, his voice echoing perfectly across the room, "I used a very small fraction of that capital to establish a private, anonymous debt-collection holding company."

Vincent’s eyes widened in sheer, apocalyptic shock. His knees physically began to buckle.

Noah opened the heavy folder and held it directly up to Vincent’s face.

"And yesterday morning, my holding company bought your massive, four-million-dollar syndicate debt in full," Noah announced, delivering an absolute, flawless corporate slaughter.

The wealthy parents and university board members in the audience gasped in stunning realization.

Vincent’s jaw literally unhinged. The sheer, crushing magnitude of his failure completely paralyzed him. The brutal, terrifying entity he owed his life to—the massive debt he was desperately running from—was now entirely owned by his own eighteen-year-old son. He hadn't cornered a rich child; he had walked blindly into a titanium cage.
