Chapter 4 - The Abandoned Warehouse

Twenty minutes later, three armored black SUVs tore through the abandoned industrial district on the south side of the city.

Inside an old, decaying shipping warehouse, Clara was tied to a rusted metal chair. Her face was bruised, her clothes torn, but her eyes blazed with fierce, protective defiance.

Standing in front of her was Marco Moretti. He was fifty years old, wearing an expensive grey suit, smoking a cigar with a toxic, arrogant smirk on his face. Behind him stood six heavily armed cartel enforcers, including the man with the snake tattoo on his neck.

"You really thought you could hide from me, Clara?" Marco mocked, blowing smoke into her face. "I gave you a chance to disappear six years ago. But you just had to have his kid, didn't you?"

"If you touch my daughter, Marco, Vincent will skin you alive," Clara spat, entirely fearless.

Marco threw his head back and laughed loudly. "Vincent doesn't know you're alive! And he doesn't know the brat exists! Once I put a bullet in your head, I'll track down the kid, and this little problem will be permanently erased."

Marco pulled a suppressed pistol from his suit jacket and aimed it directly at Clara's head.

"Say goodbye, Clara."

Before Marco’s finger could even touch the trigger, the massive steel doors of the warehouse violently exploded inward.

The heavy steel completely crushed two of Marco's enforcers.

The remaining men spun around, raising their weapons in sheer panic.

Stepping through the thick smoke and debris wasn't a police raid. It was Vincent Moretti. He was flanked by twenty of his most elite, fiercely loyal tactical operators, every single one of them aiming high-powered rifles directly at Marco’s men.

👉 Marco lowered his gun in absolute terror, realizing his executioner had finally arrived.
