Chapter 6 - The Financial Guillotine

"You don't have an empire anymore, Marco," Vincent stated coldly, entirely immune to his fake tears.
Vincent pulled his encrypted smartphone from his pocket. He didn't pull the trigger on his gun. A quick bullet was far too generous for the man who had ordered the murder of a child.
"While my men were breaching the doors," Vincent explained smoothly, dialing his Chief Financial Officer, "my cyber-team accessed your private servers. We used your biometrics to unlock the offshore accounts you've been skimming from."
Marco’s eyes widened in sheer, paralyzing horror.
"Initiate the liquidation of Marco's assets," Vincent ordered his CFO. "Freeze his supply chains. Transfer every single dollar he owns directly into Clara's trust fund. I want him completely bankrupt, destitute, and stripped of everything by morning."
"No! Please! Vincent, you'll ruin me!" Marco wailed, clawing at his brother's suit pants.
"I already have," Vincent replied ruthlessly. "And I just forwarded your financial ledgers to the Colombian cartel you owe money to. They now know you lost their investment money. They know you have absolutely no protection."
Marco let out a horrific, guttural wail of pure agony, thrashing on the concrete floor. He was completely, permanently ruined.
Vincent looked at his massive tactical guards.
"Strip him," Vincent commanded.
The guards violently ripped the expensive grey suit jacket off Marco's shoulders. They confiscated his watch, his phone, and his wallet.
"Throw him in the trunk," Vincent ordered. "Drive him directly to the Colombian cartel's headquarters. Tell them Marco is a gift. Let the wolves handle the thief."
