Chapter 8 - The Freezing Warehouse

The freezing industrial warehouse was steeped in heavy, terrifying shadows.
The five corrupt executives, including the slick corporate attorney, were kneeling on the cold concrete floor, their hands bound tightly behind their backs with heavy zip-ties. The expensive champagne they had just consumed churned sickeningly in their stomachs.
The heavy metal door of the warehouse screeched open.
Vincent walked slowly into the massive building. He had taken off his suit jacket, rolling up the sleeves of his crisp white shirt to reveal the dark, heavy, intricate tattoos on his forearms. He radiated a crushing, undeniable aura of absolute, apocalyptic power.
The corporate attorney’s face turned violently pale.
"Mr. Moretti, please!" the attorney shrieked wildly, completely abandoning his slick, arrogant persona. He was weeping in pure, unadulterated terror, pulling frantically at his restraints. "It was just a business merger! We didn't know Dominic would fight back! We had to cut the brakes! The rival syndicate made us do it!"
Vincent didn't yell. The silence in the massive warehouse was infinitely more terrifying than a scream.
He walked slowly down the line of trembling men, his polished shoes clicking sharply against the freezing concrete. He stopped directly in front of the weeping attorney.
"You murdered my brother," Vincent whispered softly, leaning down slightly so his voice carried a terrifying, untouchable power. "And then, you had the absolute, unhinged audacity to put your hands on an eight-year-old girl at his funeral."
The attorney physically staggered backward on his knees. He suddenly realized the little girl he had aggressively attacked wasn't just a random bystander. She was the absolute most protected child on the planet.
